Guidelines for submitted articles and media
These guidelines apply to all articles, updates, images, PDFs and other files submitted via the MallorcaPets magazine. They explain what is allowed, how we review content and what submitters are responsible for.

1.Who may submit articles
Pet owners, associations, shelters, vets, trainers, groomers and other engaged individuals or organisations may submit articles, updates and stories. Submissions must be made in your own name or with explicit permission from the organisation.
2.Rights to texts, images and files
You may only submit content you are authorised to use. This applies to text, photos, PDFs, graphics and other attachments. Image rights must belong to you or you need explicit permission from rights holders for publication on MallorcaPets.org and in the channels you approve.
- Your own photos and texts are usually fine.
- Third-party content only with written or verifiable permission.
- Consider all contributors when several rights holders are involved.
3.Recognisable people in images
If photos show recognisable people, their consent to publication is required. This also applies to group photos, children, staff or volunteers. Without consent, people should not be recognisable or the image should not be submitted.
4.Children and sensitive situations
Extra care is required with children, vulnerable individuals or sensitive animal welfare situations. Images and descriptions should be dignified and must not cause harm or exposure. MallorcaPets may reject or adapt such content before publication.
5.What must not be uploaded
- Stock photos, press images or third-party advertising images without a licence
- Screenshots, logos or trademarks without permission
- Images from social networks or third-party websites without rights
- Copyright-protected third-party content
- Offensive, false or unlawful content
6.Editorial review and editing
All submissions are reviewed editorially. MallorcaPets may shorten, restructure, edit, supplement or reject texts. Bullet points and rough notes are enough for submission — we shape content for the website while keeping your core message.
7.No right to publication
Submitting content does not create any entitlement to publication. MallorcaPets decides freely whether, when and in what form a contribution appears.
8.Use on MallorcaPets, newsletter and social media
Depending on your consent and the media rights you specify, published content may be used on MallorcaPets.org, in the newsletter and on official MallorcaPets social media channels. Uses outside your approval will not occur.
9.Responsibility of the submitter
You are responsible for ensuring your information is correct and that you hold the required rights. You remain liable for false information or legal violations as the submitter.
10.Removal in case of legal issues
If we receive notice of legal violations, missing rights or impermissible content, MallorcaPets may remove, block or exclude articles, images or files from publication.
11.Replacement cover images
If submitted images are legally unclear, unsuitable in quality or unusable, MallorcaPets may use its own neutral cover image or omit images.
12.PDFs, lists and documents
PDFs and other documents must not contain confidential information, personal data of third parties without legal basis or unlawful content. Check before upload whether all information may be published.
