A structured way to submit concerns about possible poor animal welfare on Mallorca. You describe factually what you observed yourself — location, time, species and situation. MallorcaPets helps capture the information clearly and review it internally. Where appropriate, reports may be forwarded to competent authorities.

What is MallorcaPets not in this context?

Accepted Answer

Not an authority, police station, court or emergency hotline. MallorcaPets does not replace an official report to police, Guardia Civil / SEPRONA, the town hall or courts. We do not provide a final legal assessment of whether a violation occurred — that is for the competent authorities.

When should I call 112 or the authorities directly?

Accepted Answer

Immediately if an animal is in acute life-threatening danger, violence is occurring or people are at risk: 112 or 062, Policía Local, Guardia Civil / SEPRONA or AlertCops. This service is for structured reports when there is no immediate danger — it cannot provide on-site emergency help.

How does submitting a report work?

Accepted Answer

You complete a short questionnaire (about 9 steps): acute danger yes/no, type of concern, species, location on Mallorca, timing, factual description, optional photos and optional contact details. At the end you confirm the notes and terms. You receive a case number for reference.

What happens after I submit?

Accepted Answer

Your report is recorded and reviewed internally. Depending on the content, MallorcaPets may forward it to competent bodies or partners — especially if you agreed to share your contact details. A response from authorities or visible change on the ground cannot be guaranteed.

Will my details be shown publicly?

Accepted Answer

No. Photos, exact addresses, map pins and personal contact details are not published. The anonymised case overview shows only broad region, category and status — without personal data or exact locations.

Can I report anonymously?

Accepted Answer

Yes — anonymous reporting is the default. Name, email and phone are optional. If you want a competent body to reach you with follow-up questions, you can voluntarily provide contact details and consent to forwarding.

Does MallorcaPets guarantee action will be taken?

Accepted Answer

No. MallorcaPets cannot guarantee processing by authorities or any particular outcome. If you already know which body is responsible, you should contact them directly. This service complements — but does not replace — going straight to police, SEPRONA or other authorities.
