On 26 June 2026 Sammy left us after a tragic accident — hit by a car. We buried him on 27 June 2026.
Sammy was the real MallorcaPets cat. Found on Mount San Salvador, he gave MallorcaPets a face for years — curious, tender, sometimes chief of the office, always close.
Sitting at the window, falling asleep in my arms in the evening, coming to get me to play — I miss all of it more than I ever imagined.
This page remains in his memory. For all the animals on Mallorca we still want to speak up for — and for the little cat who showed how approachable animal welfare can be.
Why Sammy?
Sammy represents the animals on Mallorca who were lucky. His story is a reminder that not every animal on the island finds a safe home. That is why MallorcaPets shares not only lovely moments, but also ways people can help.
